10to8 honored with one of the last-ever Queen’s Awards
In April, 10to8 was honored with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category for its outstanding international growth.
The presentation of the award to 10to8’s founders, CEO Matthew Cleevely and 10to8’s MD Dr. Richard Hills last week became all the more poignant when news broke of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant Mrs. Julie Spence, who presented the scroll, described the award as “The knighthood of British business”.
Accompanying her were Her Majesty’s Deputy Lord Lieutenant Mr. Chris Parkhouse DL and Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet Ms. Paris Bufton. Special guests included Mrs. Jennifer Crompton, High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire, and her husband Mr. John Crompton.
Facilitated by Sharon King-Livesey from 10to8, its international team came together for the occasion for the first time since the pandemic.

Matthew Cleevely, the CEO, commented: “It was a privilege to be honored with one of the very last Queen’s Awards, a few days before Her Majesty passed away. We were delighted to welcome Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant Mrs. Julie Spence, who was greatly interested in our business and the dedicated team at 10to8.”
Richard Hills, the MD, continues “Our brilliant international team was recognized today with this honor. We listen to our customers so we can provide exceptional customer experience and this award is a milestone that celebrates this collaboration.”
The Queen’s Award is a clear recognition of 10to8’s incredible expansion.
"From little acorns, mighty oaks do grow" wrapped up Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant Mrs. Julie Spence.
